Trans USA is more than a national competition. It is an opportunity to grow, connect, advocate, lead, and become part of a community that extends far beyond the stage.

Applications for the Trans USA Class of 2027 open September 21, 2026, for individuals interested in representing their state, region, or community on the road to the national competition.

​

Whether you come to Trans USA with years of advocacy and pageantry experience or are stepping into a space like this for the first time, we are looking for individuals who are ready to bring their authentic selves, their unique stories, and their own vision of leadership to our national community.

​

You do not need to fit one definition of what a titleholder should look like, sound like, or be. We want to know who you are, what matters to you, and what you hope to do with the opportunity.

Before applying, we strongly encourage every prospective contestant to review the Official 2027 Contestant Handbook above.

​

The handbook contains important information about eligibility, divisions and titles, the application and acceptance process, contestant expectations, competition categories and scoring, advocacy and community engagement requirements, important dates and deadlines, awards, resources, and what you can expect throughout your Trans USA journey.

And remember: You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. Part of this experience is learning, growing, building relationships, and discovering what your leadership can look like.

Returning Class of 2025

To the members of the Trans USA Class of 2025: Thank you for the work, advocacy, patience, and belief you brought to this organization during a challenging chapter in our history.

​

Members of the Class of 2025 have been provided a dedicated pathway to return for a future Trans USA competition cycle, including the opportunity to participate in the Class of 2027.

​

The Class of 2025 Deferral Packet below contains information about the deferral process, returning contestant benefits, available options, and the steps for indicating your interest in joining us for 2027.

Returning members of the Class of 2025 should follow the process outlined in their deferral materials rather than completing the standard public application unless otherwise instructed by the Trans USA team.

​

We remain grateful for the role the Class of 2025 has played in helping us listen, learn, rebuild, and strengthen the experience we provide to every contestant who follows.
